What: Gain hands-on instruction from USATF Master Coaches at our Learn By Doing Clinic, a day of practicum on the field with teaching and demonstrations. Participants will learn how to coach specific techniques, drill progressions and coaching cues with error correction and video analysis.
When: Saturday, February 18, 2017, 8:30 a.m.- 6:00 p.m.
Where: Cerritos College, Norwalk, California
Who: The clinic is open to all coaches, athletes, parents and trainers, serving as an extension of USATF's coach certification courses. All athletes must be accompanied by a coach.
Master Clinicians: • Jeremy Fischer, coach of Olympic medalists and resident Olympic Training Center coach for USATF in horizontal and vertical jumps.
• John Dagata, former University of Oklahoma assistant coach and resident Olympic Training Center coach in the throws.
• Charles Clinton, well-known California high school coach and USATF Coach Educator specializing in sprints and hurdles.
• Terry Crawford, USATF Director of Coaching, Master Coach and USATF Coach Educator, and NCAA title-winning coach specializing in middle and long distance.
• Dr. Anne Shadle, former University of Nebraska middle distance runner and specialist in Coaching Theory and Sport Psychology.
